Yes. When you have breast thermogram scan, the results can provide useful information which will help your doctor in making any decisions. If it is your first breast thermogram, it will provide you with a baseline reading.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I HAVE A THERMAL SCAN?

Initially, you will want to have 2 scans within a 3 month period, this is to establish your baseline. After this, you will want to have annual scans to keep a continual monitoring of your breast health.

HAS THERE EVER BEEN CLINICAL TESTS ON THERMOGRAPHY?

Yes. There have been over 800 studies documented, with over 300,000 women participating. Findings have shown that thermography detects cancer up to 10 years earlier than other procedures.

DOES INSURANCE COVER THE SCAN?

This varies with each insurance company. Please check with your insurance company to see if your policy would include breast thermography screening. Medicare does not cover breast thermography.

DO BREAST THERMOGRAMS REPLACE MAMMOGRAMS?

No. These screenings are designed to complement each other. There are never too many screenings available to help prevent cancer. Breast thermography provides very early detection and should be used in conjunction with annual mammograms, self breast exams and physical examinations.
